Welcome to Víðigerðis Australian Shepherds, located in the beautiful valley of Mosfellsdalur, Iceland. 

We started our journey in 2011 when we first fell in love with the breed via our family at Östra Greda Kennel in Sweden. A decision was made to import quality dogs from them to Iceland. For three years we prepared the best we could and in 2014 our foundation female, Kilja, was born.

Víðigerði is also the name of our little farm where we spend most of our time with our children, dogs, horses, cats and hens.

Our names are Svava Björk Ásgeirsdóttir and Kristmundur Anton Jónasson. We have three children, Bríet Björk, Emma Björk and Ásgeir Anton. 

Our aussies live inside our home and are first and foremost loving family members and companions.

Our aim is to breed Australian Shepherds with that are healthy, with good temperament, structure, and versatility in mind. Dogs that are able to cuddle up on the sofa, shine in the show ring and take part in all kinds of work, such as herding, agility, obedience, tracking, nose work or as assistant dogs to name a few.

We are members of the Icelandic Kennel Club and all our dogs are registered with the Icelandic Kennel Club and FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale).
